Jack W. Marvin | Portfolio - Licensed Apparel

This project was part of a licensing arrangement with Lucasfilm, Warner Brothers, and other major studios.  The goal was to promote feature film memorabilia through the children's market.  Using our position in major department stores, we were able to leverage the effectiveness of the project.

Although the project was a great success, sales dropped dramatically after a few months following the release of the films.  The pre-production gamble on the popularity of the film, turned out not to be a viable business option.

Specific Duties:

  • Layouts / Color-Ways
  • Line-Lists / Pitch Books
  • Presentation Graphics
  • Graphic Editing
  • Production Estimates
  • Vendor Sourcing

This was a great opportunity to work on a large-scale licensed apparel line for children.  I assisted with the development cycle and did most of the artwork for the initial presentation.  Duties included layout, color variations and product matrix.  Other projects soon followed making me somewhat of an expert in the field.
Another Great Thing About Southern California!
Hollywood is in Southern California,  ...and movies are made in Hollywood!  So, sometimes your projects are for famous movies.
