When I showed-up to Lakeview Elementary School a few months after school had started, they didn't know what to do with me. I had already started that year in second grade and they didn't want to "flunk" me.

My mother fought hard to skip me ahead. They had me take several tests then ultimately left the decision up to me after explaining the differences or consequences. I told them I could handle it and just like that, had officially skipped a grade in the public school system. This would be noticed a few years later and interpreted differently. Go Dragons!
